**Starting April 1, 2024, the Takayama – Matsumoto bus line will implement a new reservation system.
For trips crossing prefectural borders, reservations are required. However, for journeys within the same prefecture, advance reservations are not available. You can board the bus if there are available seats at the time of departure.
For example:
①From Matsumoto Bus Terminal (Nagano Prefecture) to Takayama Bus Center (Gifu Prefecture): Advance reservations are necessary.
②From Matsumoto Bus Terminal (Nagano Prefecture) to Nakanoyu (Nagano Prefecture): You can board the bus only if there are available seats at the time of departure. Please wait at the bus stop or terminal and queue up to board the bus.
Reservations can be made either at the ticket counter or online, up to one month prior to the boarding date.

Please read before making an inquiry:
1. This bus operates every day, yearly.
2. We typically update this timetable in late March. If the schedule for next year is not yet available, please be patient for its release. We kindly ask that you refrain from inquiring about the release of the new timetable, as we cannot provide more details than what is available on the timetable page. The timetable is not expected to change significantly from last year, so please refer to the timetable from the previous year until the updated one becomes available.
3. We do not accept reservation requests, regardless of the number of passengers or requests from travel agencies. Please purchase tickets either in person at the ticket counter or online.
4. This bus has a luggage compartment where you can stow your suitcases. There are no restrictions on the number or size of items. Items such as ice axes, poles, pickaxes can potentially damage other passengers’ luggage. Please store them inside your backpack or carry them separately in a dedicated cover or bag. Loading and unloading of luggage is your responsibility.
5. For daytime buses, bicycles can be stored in the trunk. Bicycles should be disassembled and packed in a dedicated bag for assembly-type bicycles or in a specific bag for folding bicycles.
6. This bus does not have a restroom onboard and there is no restroom break along the way.
7. For passengers wishing to travel from between Matsumoto and Nakanoyu. Please use the Matsumoto – Kamikochi train and bus line instead.

【Child Fare】
・Child fare applies to children under 12 years old.
・For children aged 1-11 years must have a child fare ticket due to seat belt requirements.
・Infants or toddlers who cannot use a seat belt due to their height should be securely held with a baby carrier or similar device. They can ride for free per one accompanying adult. However, in cases of full capacity, we may have to refuse boarding to comply with legal vehicle capacity requirements. Therefore, we recommend making seat reservations or purchasing a ticket for all infants and toddlers, even if they don’t require a seat. (We cannot know if the bus will be fulled or not until the departure time.)
