Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (Ogizawa)

The Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine Route is a mountain road with a magnificent view. It connects Nagano and Toyama from the east to the west through the Northern Alps at an altitude of around 3000 m high.
Traffic of non-commercial vehicles is prohibited due to nature preservation regulations. Take the ropeway or a bus and proceed through the road which is a 37.2 km drive, with an altitude varying up to 1975 m.
The starting point from the Nagano side will be Ogizawa.

(Nagano - Ogizawa)

It is a bus route connecting Nagano station of Hokuriku Shinkansen, Shinano-Omachi station of JR Oito Line, Omachi Onsenkyo which lined up luxury hot spring accommodation, and Ogizawa.

(Omachi - Ogizawa)

The Shinano-Omachi station of the JR Oito Line is the gateway to the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine Route.
Shinano Omachi has a long history as a "Salt Road" leading to the Sea of Japan, and is a beautiful place where old buildings of the Edo period remain.
