All buses covered by the 4-Day Alps WIDE Free Passport are non-reserved service, except for the direct bus from Matsumoto to Kamikochi (National Park Liner) and the bus from Kamikochi to Shin-Shimashima/Norikura/Shirahone Onsen.
If you are traveling from Matsumoto to Kamikchi by bus and transferring to the train at Shin-Shimashima station, you cannot make a reservation in advance.
However, you can reserve the direct bus from Matsumoto to Kamikochi at the Matsumoto bus terminal and reserve a seat for the bus from Kamikochi to Shin-Shimashima/Norikura/Shirahone Onsen at the Kamikochi bus terminal. To reserve a seat, please show your 4-Day Alps WIDE Free Passport and inform the staff the bus you wish to board.
As for the bus between Takayama and Shirakawago, there are reserved and non-reserved services. But you can only board the non-reserved bus when using the 4-Day Alps WIDE Free Passport.
The open season is from 17 April to 15 November each year.
1. All routes going to Kamikochi are scheduled to run from 17 April to 15 November.
2. The route between Norikura Kogen-Kuraigahara Sanso and Daisekkei-Katanokoyaguchi (Haruyama Bus) is scheduled to run between late April and 30 June.
3. The route between Norikura-Kogen and Norikura Summit (Tatamidaira) (Go-Raiko Bus) is scheduled to run from mid-July to mid-September.
4. The route between Norikura-Kogen and Norikura Summit (Tatamidaira) is scheduled to run between 1 July and 31 October.

There is a trunk area at the bottom of the bus where large pieces of luggage can be loaded. However, the luggage may have other passengers' luggage put on top of it, or be moved around to make more space for other luggage. In these cases, we will accept no responsibility for damage, soiling or loss of the luggage.
There are no particular limits, but if it is likely that carrying the luggage would cause inconvenience to other passengers, the luggage may be refused.
Even if you lose your ticket, it will not be issued again. Please take care not to lose your tickets.

Yes, you can. This bus is a reserved bus, so please make a reservation at the Matsumoto bus terminal before boarding the bus. You can reserve a seat one day before.
No. If you buy the Free Passport or exchange your voucher for the Passport at the payment window at Shinshimashima Station, then you do not have to pay anything extra for the section between Matsumoto and Shinshimashima.
When using Go-Raiko buses, a 300 yen seat ticket is required. Go-Raiko Buses start journeys from both the Gifu Prefecture end (Hirayu Hot Springs) and the Nagano Prefecture end (Norikura Kogen). When using a 4-Day WIDE Free Passport, you only need a seat ticket on buses departing from Hirayu Hot Springs.
It is not possible to get a refund on the ticket.
