Express Bus Omachi / Ogizawa

Please read before making an inquiry:

1. This is a non-reserved bus; it is not possible to purchase or reserve tickets in advance. Please purchase your bus ticket on the day of travel and then join the boarding queue. Boarding is on a first-come, first-served basis, and purchasing a ticket does not guarantee that you will be able to board your preferred service. If you board the bus at a stop without a ticket counter, you can buy your ticket onboard.

2. We typically update this timetable in late March. If the schedule for next year is not yet available, please be patient for its release. We kindly ask that you refrain from inquiring about the release of the new timetable, as we cannot provide more details than what is available on the timetable page. The timetable is not expected to change significantly from last year, so please refer to the timetable from the previous year until the updated one becomes available.

3. We do not accept reservation requests, regardless of the number of passengers or requests from travel agencies.

4. This bus has a luggage compartment where you can stow your suitcases. There are no restrictions on the number or size of items. 

5. You cannot board the bus between Shinano-Omachi Station and Holiday Inn Resort Kuroyon. Please use the Shinano Omachi – Ogisawa Line for this section.

6. Only one bus departs at each scheduled time. Additional buses may be added during busy periods. We cannot provide information on whether more buses will be added, so please refrain from inquiring about them. If the bus gets full, please wait for the next available bus.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q1: I’ll be taking the bus from Ogizawa to Nagano Station. Can I get off at Shinano Omachi to pick up my luggage, and then get back on the same bus to continue to Nagano Station?
A1: No, you cannot. Please purchase separate tickets for the Ogizawa – Shinano Omachi section and the Shinano Omachi – Nagano Station section. Additionally, please note that the bus departs on a fixed schedule, so if you’re not back in time for departure, it will not wait.

Q2: I purchased the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route WEB Ticket with option ticket. How can I take the bus from Nagano to Ogizawa (or vice versa)? Can I simply show the QR code to board the bus?
A2: No, you cannot use just the QR code to board the bus. Click here for more details.

Q3: I plan to take a bus from Nagano Station to Omachi Onsenkyo, stay overnight, and then travel to Ogizawa the next day. Can I use my Nagano Station-to-Ogizawa bus ticket for both the Nagano Station to Omachi Onsenkyo and Omachi Onsenkyo to Ogizawa segments of my journey?
A3: No, you cannot. You will need to purchase two separate bus tickets.

①From Nagano Station to Omachi Onsenkyo, take the bus on the Nagano – Shinano Omachi/Ogizawa line.
②From Omachi Onsenkyo to Ogizawa, take the bus on the Shinano Omachi – Ogizawa line. (You cannot board the Nagano station – Shinano Omachi/Ogizawa line for this section.)
