Hakuba Valley to conduct a demonstration experiment of “AI On-Demand Shared Ride Night Taxi”, starting from Dec. 19 until Feb. 28, 2023

How it Works

Passengers are required to make a booking for a trip between the designated virtual bus stops via “Hakuba Night Demand Taxi” application. These virtual bus stops are located mainly near the transport hubs (bus terminal, station), ski resorts, supermarkets, and restaurant and hotel areas.

Instead of using fixed schedules and routes, after you request your trip, the AI will automatically calculate the most convenient route and vehicle to pick you up from the bus stop you choose. This is a shared ride service so the vehicle may pick up other passengers on the way to your destination.
