**Starting April 1, 2024, the Takayama – Matsumoto bus line will implement a new reservation system.
For trips crossing prefectural borders, reservations are required. However, for journeys within the same prefecture, advance reservations are not available. You can board the bus if there are available seats at the time of departure.
For example:
①From Matsumoto Bus Terminal (Nagano Prefecture) to Takayama Bus Center (Gifu Prefecture): Advance reservations are necessary.
②From Matsumoto Bus Terminal (Nagano Prefecture) to Nakanoyu (Nagano Prefecture): You can board the bus only if there are available seats at the time of departure. Please wait at the bus stop or terminal and queue up to board the bus.
Reservations can be made either at the ticket counter or online, up to one month prior to the boarding date.
**Customers with a 4-Day Alps WIDE Free Passport, please present your pass at either Matsumoto Bus Terminal or Takayama Bus Center and make your seat reservations before boarding this bus. (The reservation must be made the same day you board the bus.)

Please read before making an inquiry:
1. This bus operates every day, yearly.
2. We typically update this timetable in late March. If the schedule for next year is not yet available, please be patient for its release. We kindly ask that you refrain from inquiring about the release of the new timetable, as we cannot provide more details than what is available on the timetable page. The timetable is not expected to change significantly from last year, so please refer to the timetable from the previous year until the updated one becomes available.
3. We do not accept reservation requests, regardless of the number of passengers or requests from travel agencies. Please purchase tickets either in person at the ticket counter or online.
4. This bus has a luggage compartment where you can stow your suitcases. There are no restrictions on the number or size of items. Items such as ice axes, poles, pickaxes can potentially damage other passengers’ luggage. Please store them inside your backpack or carry them separately in a dedicated cover or bag. Loading and unloading of luggage is your responsibility.
5. For daytime buses, bicycles can be stored in the trunk. Bicycles should be disassembled and packed in a dedicated bag for assembly-type bicycles or in a specific bag for folding bicycles.
6. This bus does not have a restroom onboard and there is no restroom break along the way.
7. For passengers wishing to travel from between Matsumoto and Nakanoyu during April 17 – Nov 15, please use the Matsumoto – Kamikochi train and bus line instead.

**Only one-way tickets are available; there is no round-trip fare.
【Children’s fares】
■6 years and older: Adult fare
■1 to under 6 years old: Child fare (You can confirm the child’s fare at the time of booking.)
■Under 1 year old: Travel free if not occupying a seat. However, they count as passengers and may be refused boarding if capacity is reached. Therefore, if the maximum capacity is reached, we reserve the right to refuse boarding for children not paying fares. It’s recommended to purchase a ticket (child fare) even if the child won’t occupy it.
